Week 10 #3

It would be very difficult to choose a place to live if I could choose anywhere in the world simply because I havn't been too far away from America. I have been to mexico and canada and all around the midwest but other than that not too far away. Of the places I have traveled my favorite would be Chicago. I love the city but I don't know if that would be the place I would choose. I would have to go with a tropical island somewhere. I wouldn't choose Hawaii because its the obvious answer but I would rather go to an equally beautiful and peaceful place, but instead some remote location where very few people live. Gotta love beaches...AND WARMTH!

Week 10 #2

Whenever people ask you what your dream job is you should think about what you love most. In my personal life I love going to concerts. With this in mind I would be the singer of a popular rock band. I'm not talking about a band that tours around Nebraska, I'm talking about a band that has the number one album in the country, tours around the world, sells out shows, and has everyone scream the lyrics along with me. The energy that is put off in concerts are unreal and to be the person responsible for it would be awsome. I would be smart about it unlike most popular rock bands. I would save money, not do the drugs, and make all the shows that I book. If I do these things the bands popularity would last forever. Too bad I don't know how to sing so this will never happen. :(

Week 10 Post

If I had a million dollars I would buy a house and pimp it out. Some of the things that I would put in would be pool, a movie theater room with the highest quality sound and picture you can buy, and a hockey arena that can be used year round. I wouldn't just put a simple blow up pool in my back yard..no, this would be one sick pool. I would have multiple slides, a fish tank build around the pool so it looked like it was a part of it, some way to turn the entire pool into a hot tub, and an island in the middle with a bar and grill on it. As far as the hockey arena goes it would be full sized, have a weight training facility in it (so you stay cool when you work out), and a machine that automatically shoots pucks at me from random area. Not sure how this would work out but it would also be the summer training facility for the New York Rangers.

Top Ten Concerts I've Seen

10. Disturbed

I saw Disturbed last year in Kearney at the Event Center. I'm not a huge fan of their music but I included it on my list because their mosh pit was the most intense one I have ever been in.

9. Aranda

I'm almost positive that none of you have heard of this band. They aren't super big yet but they opened for a Tantric and they basically upstaged them. Great energy from these guys.

8. Staind

Staind is one of those bands who you know will always have a good live show. Some bands are good one night but disappointing the next. I have seen staind about 4 times and each one has been great.

7. 311

If you don't know anything about 311 they are a band that started in Omaha and now are very famous. I have seen them only once but that show was amazing. The atmosphere was so intense that you couldn't help but have a good time.

6. papa roach

Papa Roach has nothing but great songs. The energy they put off can be felt all throughout the concert. Great band and great live shows.

5. Breaking Benjamin

A Breaking Benjamin concert is a pretty sweet experience. This is a band who you can feel their dedication to their music every time they play.

4. Blink 182

You don't go to a Blink concert for the music, you go for the show. By that I mean that going to one of their concerts you get entertainment. The three members are absolutely hilarious and they make jokes and funny comments all show long.

3. Korn

You gotta love Korn. This is most likely the best band I have heard live. What I mean by this is that they sound almost identical to their cd's.

2. Shinedown

If you ever have a chance to see shinedown do! Their shows are simply amazing. They get the entire crowd into it somehow. I can't explain it but you just feel a part of the show.

1. Blue October

I know what you're saying...you think i only put this down as my number one because Blue October is my favorite band. Well that's exactly why i put it as my number one. If any of you go to a concert pick one that you know all the songs. This makes a concert 100 times better. I know each Blue October song by heart and I love all of them so they can never disappoint me.
